      Arrival Bhubaneswar - Puri (64 kms| Approx 1.5 - 2 hours drive)

      Upon arrival at Bhubaneswar Airport, your journey begins with a warm welcome as you proceed to the cultural heart of Odisha, Puri. En route, immerse yourself in the rich heritage of the region with a visit to some of its most iconic landmarks.

      Dhauli Peace Pagoda: Experience tranquility at this serene Buddhist monument, renowned for its historic significance and panoramic views of the Daya River.

      Lingaraj Temple: A masterpiece of Kalinga architecture, this temple dedicated to Lord Shiva is a must-see for those interested in India's spiritual and architectural grandeur.

      Chausath Yogini Temple: Explore the mystical ambiance of this ancient temple, home to 64 images of Yoginis and an exceptional example of early Indian temple art.

      After a day of exploration, continue your journey to Puri, where you’ll be checked into your hotel in the evening. Relish the soothing sea breeze at Puri Beach, a perfect spot to unwind as the sun sets over the Bay of Bengal.

      Lingaraj Temple Visitor Guidelines:

      The Lingaraj Temple is open to devotees from 05:00 AM to 08:00 PM, with a brief closure between 11:00 AM and 01:00 PM for daily rituals. Visitors can access the Garbhagriha (Sanctum Sanctorum) during the following times:

      • 06:00 AM to 08:00 AM
      • 01:00 PM to 04:00 PM

      Entry Restrictions:Non-Hindus are not permitted to enter the Lingaraj Temple or the Gundicha Temple premises.

    • Day 2

      Puri – (Jagannath Temple) - Chilika Lake ( Satpada ) – Puri

      After breakfast, visit the Sri Jagannath Temple (Note: Non-Hindus are not allowed) for a sacred darshan. Continue to explore the Gundicha Temple (Mausima Temple) and Bedi Hanuman Temple. Next, depart for Satapada, Chilika. En-route, stop at the Alarnath Temple. Upon arrival at Chilika Lake, enjoy a boat ride (at your own cost) to witness the Irrawaddy Dolphins in their natural habitat and visit the Hradaya-Sagar Sangam, where the lake meets the sea. Chilika Lake, India’s largest inland lake spanning over 1,100 square kilometers, offers a peaceful retreat.

      After a relaxing day, return to Puri in the evening. Enjoy free time at Golden Beach and shop at the local market.Overnight stay in Puri.

       

      Jagannath Temple Visitor Guidelines:

      The Jagannath Temple in Puri is open to devotees from 05:00 AM to 10:00 PM, with temporary closures for rituals during the following times:

      • 07:30 AM to 09:30 AM (1.5 hours)
      • 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM (1 hour)

      Dress Code: To enter the temple, visitors are required to wear decent attire. Please note that half pants, shorts, torn jeans, ripped jeans, skirts, and sleeveless dresses are strictly prohibited.

      Entry Restrictions: Non-Hindus are not permitted inside the Jagannath Temple or Gundicha Temple premises.
      For the safety and respect of the sanctity of the temple, mobile phones, cameras, leather items, paan, gutkha, tobacco, food items, bags, and plastic materials are not allowed inside the temple premises.
      Security Tips: Be mindful of monkeys within the temple area. It is advisable to securely store your wallets and bags to avoid any inconvenience.

      Please adhere to these guidelines to ensure a respectful and enjoyable visit to the sacred temple.

    • Day 3

      Puri - Konark ( Sun Temple) – Puri

      After breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed on a scenic drive along the Marine Drive to Konark. En route, visit the beautiful Chandrabhaga Beach, a serene spot known for its tranquil atmosphere, followed by the Ramchandi Temple, dedicated to the goddess Ramchandi. Next, visit the renowned Konark Sun Temple (Black Pagoda), a 12th-century architectural wonder, intricately adorned with stone carvings. The temple, dedicated to the Sun God, is a UNESCO World Heritage site and a masterpiece of ancient Kalinga architecture.

      In the evening, you have the option to enjoy the Light & Sound Show at the Sun Temple (at your own cost), which narrates the fascinating history of this ancient site.

      Afterwards, drive back to Puri .Enjoy free time at Golden Beach and shop at the local market.Overnight stay in Puri.

       

      Konark Sun Temple Visitor Information:

      The Konark Sun Temple is open daily from 08:00 AM to 06:00 PM. Additionally, the Light & Sound Show operates under the following timings:

      • Winter (October to March): 06:30 PM to 07:15 PM
      • Summer (April to September): 07:00 PM to 07:40 PM

      Please note that the show is subject to weather conditions and requires a minimum of 25 participants. The Light & Sound Show is closed every Monday.

      Ensure your visit aligns with these timings to fully experience the grandeur of the Konark Sun Temple and its evening spectacular.

       

    • Day 4

      Puri - Raghurajpur village and Shashigopal Temple visit - Departure from Bhubaneswar

      After breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed to Raghurajpur Village, a heritage crafts village located in the Puri district. The village is famous for its Pattachitra paintings, a traditional art form dating back to the 5th century BC, and its vibrant Gotipua dance troupes.After exploring the village, drive towards Bhubaneswar. En route, visit the Shashi Gopal Temple, dedicated to Lord Shree Krishna, and enjoy the peaceful ambiance of this sacred site.
      Upon arrival in Bhubaneswar, transfer to the airport or railway station to board your onward flight or train, taking with you cherished memories of your journey.
